Aspen Park
Aspen Park is a 15,000 square foot estate spanning over 6 acres near Independence Pass in Aspen, Colorado. The main house was designed by Charles Cunniffe Architects and reflects a unique blend of Art Deco with clean contemporary detailing. This refined, art deco home has two stainless steel curved elevators set into grand staircases, a wine room, home theater, dance studio, his and her offices, a master suite with his and her baths, and four well-appointed guest suites. Expansive oversized glazing captures views of Independence Pass and McFarland’s Gulch while a massive structural glass skylight fills the upper level with natural light.
The garage is home to pocketing doors, a second laundry, catering preparation and accessories for all the family’s toys. The mechanical system was designed to function at clean room standards, and the almost 8,000 square feet of crawlspace was laid out and installed to mimic the boiler rooms on fine yachts. This home has no shortage of fully functioning detailing — from acoustical ceilings and hidden access control to motorized doors and whole suite oxygen systems. No detail was overlooked with everything having a dedicated a purpose. The landscape features two large ponds connected by a winding stream course and waterfall. Rock walls and boulder features ground the property into its natural setting.
